Gene Autry was born in Tioga, Texas on September 29, 1907. Although he moved across the Red River to Oklahoma when he was a boy, he returned often to his home state with his family and then again and again in his music. Although his long career took him all around the world, he was a Texan for all seasons. And through his music presented here we can take an enjoyable journey with Gene to the Lone Star State.
